Asbestos Litigation

It has become clear that the asbestos disease process is still rippling through society in several forms, from the previous generation's job exposure, sometimes brought into the household by airborne particles on clothes, to hidden sources of exposure, like toxic waste dumps in residential areas. If you have been exposed to asbestos, you may have suffered an injury which entitles you to compensation.

Asbestos can cause cancerous and non-cancerous injuries which sometimes take up to 30 to 40 years to develop after first exposure.  A chest x-ray can determine whether you have suffered a non-cancerous asbestos injury, commonly known as pleural thickening or asbestosis.  If you or someone close to you was exposed to asbestos and has developed or died from lung cancer or mesothelioma, the asbestos exposure may have been the cause.

You have rights! Each state has a statute of limitations , or time period, within which a person must file a lawsuit to be entitled to compensation.  In some states, it can be that a person has two years from the date he/she was diagnosed with an asbestos-related disease to file a lawsuit or be forever barred.
